THE BASIC RULES OF OCEAN SPRINGS:

•JOINING- You have ONE WEEK to post your audition after joining or your account will be deleted.

• MAKING A BIOGRAPHY AFTER BEING ACCEPTED: Please register as a member and then place your character in the correct 'Citizen Files' sub- board according to gender. So if your character is female, place her biography in the 'Female Characters' sub-board. The same rule applies to males. DO NOT post auditions in the Audition Format thread!

• Keep your activity levels high- Here at Ocean Springs we love to role play with everyone so in order for us to make your role plays fun, we incourage you to come on often. This rule has changed a bit, we don't want this site to consume your life, so be free but we love it when you come on.

•GOING AWAY?- If you will be absent for any amount of time than you are asked to tell us your taking a break in the "Going away" board. Specifics are not neccessary.

•SEMI LITERATE AND UP- Ocean Springs ranges from the semi-lit role players to the advanced role players.
Ocean Springs does not deny you entry just because your new to role playing (aka: semi-lit in most instances., so don't be scared to give it a shot. We just don't want to see this: She smiled and then walked away. NO, NO, NO! Details are key. Try this on for size instead: Gabriella smiled warmly at the helpful stranger as the wind caressed her long brunette hair. "Thank you" she softly remarked to him before she walked on to venture the rest of her day. As long as you follow the rules, your as good as in. However, Ocean Springs does praise the advanced.

•NO OOC FIGHTING- The c-box is a privilege that can easily be taken away if I catch you fighting on it, clear? And for the record, I don't want to have to do this, so please don't make me.

•NO POWER PLAYING-- Under no circumstances may you EVER post as someone else's character! Please try not to say what the other players charries(short for character) are doing BEFORE they do it. Simple, no?

• DISPLAY NAMES- Please make sure that your display name (or username) is at least one of your character(s) first and last name(s). To avoid confusion you may also put the name you go by here in your display name as well.

• TEENAGE-ADULT CONTENT- This site is rated PG-13 and sometimes Rated R. Sexual activities, pregnancies, cussing(not OOC), drug abuse, alcoholics, and etc ARE allowed to be played here. All we ask is that the mature threads have a warning in the topic for our lurkers sakes.

• SPELLING & GRAMMER- Please use spell check. (It's there for a reason) xP

• LIMIT YOUR ONE-LINERS- Lengthy posts are the best post. They are way easier to reply to because it gives you more to work with. Ocean Springs asks that you keep one-liners to a minimum please.

•CHARACTER TWISTS BOARD- Is only for my most active members. Once you've earned your own board, it can be taken away if your activity level decreases. I've found that my members love this board.

When you first get here please read the rules. If you are confused about something you may ask an Admin or felllow member on the c-box. Once that's clarified go ahead and audition. To do that head to the Audition room and click 'Create Thread' and then post your audition there. DO NOT REGISTER AS A MEMBER until you are accepted in the audition room! IF you are accepted then you may now register as a member and post up your character(s) biography in the 'Citizen Files' board. Please follow the gender rule stated above. After that's all done you are permitted to freely role play!
~IF you are not accepted then you have ONE WEEK to fix up your application. After that ONE WEEK you'll be re-judged and hopefully accepted. If you still get rejected then you must leave the site, sorry.


REMEMBER: If it can happen in real life, it can happen here.
